Gary Beckman recently recieved his Ph.D. in Musicology at
The University of Texas at Austin and is a visiting
professor at the University of South Carolina's School of
Music assisting in the development of the Carolina Institute for Leadership and
Engagement in Music. With a number of publications
on the topic in tow, he received a grant from the
Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in 2005 to conduct
the first nationwide study of Arts Entrepreneurship
programs in America's colleges and universities.
After so many requests, I've started the AEEN Listserv. If
you haven't received an invitation email and want to be on
the mailing list, just email me and I'll add you to the
community of Arts Entrepreneurship Educators.
If you would like to have your program featured or listed
on the site, write an op-ed, submit pedagogical material or
offer an article of interest to the community, please use
the email link above. If you are delivering a paper or
sponsoring a conference related to Arts Entrepreneurship or
other innovative efforts in arts higher education, please
